Hey girl!
So how do you use your masks?
I really love my My Beauty Diary masks but seriously I always feel like a a lot of the serum is wasted!
What do I mean by that?
If you've used sheet masks before, the masks are always dripping wet and after the recommended using time of 10-15 minutes, the mask is still nice and moist!
So what I did was keep the mask on for 30-45 minutes till it dries up. However, 30-45 minutes can be a long time if you're itching to talk or have a snack! =P
Well, I was going through my usual mask routine and I decided to share this with you!
For this week, I choose the My Beauty Diary Southern France Apricot Mask for it's clarifying properties.
Ok, when you squeeze the mask sachet, you can feel all the wonderful serum inside.
Not wanting to waste too much of the serum, I squeezed the serum till it's all gathered in a corner and cut a small slit for the serum to flow out.
I then drained the excess serum into a lil container!
Seriously look at the excess serum! It almost filled up my container!
I apply the excess serum on my face every night and it's like a mini mask facial minus the sheet!
Even with the excess serum drained, my sheet mask was still nice and moist and it also reduced my mask waiting time to a comfortable 15 minutes.
A reduced mask time and more than one use of the mask?
A win for all!
I hoped you enjoyed my sheet mask routine!
How do you guy use your sheet masks?
Cheers!!

Aww thank you so much dear!! ♡
DeleteI agree with the above.. why didn't I ever keep the access serum? lol I use facemasks but periodically, I prefer the 3d ones!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried the 3D ones! I always felt my heart break a lil when I see the excess serum go to waste. XD
DeleteI'll try this next time! I just did a sakura beauty mask last night and when I took it out of it's package it was dripping all over the place o.o
ReplyDeleteYeahhhh!! They drip like crazy! There's way too much serum put in there, which is kinda a good and bad thing. Heh.
DeleteWow! I've never thought of saving the excess mask serum O_O I must do this next time I use facial masks!
ReplyDeleteLol yeah go ahead! It's nice to be able to reuse them!
Deletewow never thought of this! i'll try this next time, thanks ;)
ReplyDeleteHehehe you're welcome my dear!
DeleteOhh great tips! I know of some people who apply it down their neck and on their body and stuff, but in winter, it's really annoying to do that cos it's cold LOL you don't wanna be sitting in a singlet! This is an awesome idea!
ReplyDeleteLol yeahhhh!! I used to put them down my neck and tummy etc but it's so cold!! That's what prompted me to save them in the lil container!
DeleteWhat a great idea, I don't use masks very often but I did also think to myself there was a lot of wastage in the serum that remained in the packet and on the mask itself. Do you just apply it over your normal night time moisturiser and then go to sleep with the serum on?
ReplyDeleteYeah I apply them right over my night moisturiser. I guess we could probably soak them in those dry compressed face mask. I'll give that a try one day! =D
DeleteThis is so useful! :D I should do that when I'm using my masks!!! I always feel like I am wasting the serum and now i KNOW i wasted it. Great idea! ^___^
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yeah give it a shot! It's like having a mini facial every night. =P
DeleteVery cute containers ! :D

DeleteYou smart cookie!!!! Love this, thank you for sharing dear! :D <3
ReplyDeleteAww your're welcome darling!!
DeleteYou really shouldn't out the mask on for more than 15 minutes otherwise the moisture from your face will be taken out by the sheet mask
