Cat Eyes Lashes DIY

Hello KittyKats!

So I bought one of those 10 pairs boxed eyelashes and after using 3 pairs, I got sick of them.

I'm really gentle with my lashes so one pair, no matter how thin the bands are, can last me ages and ages.

With more than half a box left, I decided to cut my lashes up and make different types of lashes out of them.

Today I decided to combine the lashes above with my favourite demi-lashes.

I chose a particularly wonky one, as you can see below because the demi lashes layered over it will over the wonky parts up.

The steps are pretty self explanatory, but I somehow feel the need to type out an explanation which many of you would probably skip or skim over. I know I would. XD

Step 1:

Trace out demi lashes shape.

Step 2:

Trace out wonky lashes length and 'connect-the-dots' to the demi-lash.

Step 3:
Snip snip snip.

Step 4:
Glue glue glue.

Step 5:
Done done done.

The lashes look pretty natural in length and the flick achieved with the demi-lashes gives my dull dull boxed lashes a new fun look!

DIY Capped Toed Boots

First of all, I am done with exams! Woohoooo!!

So I've been waiting to DIY my boots for the longest time but never found the time. What better time to get into some DIY projects than after exams!

Back story was, I wore out my new ankle boots for the first time and I fell on on the tar road, in the rain, within 15 minutes of wearing them.

Lol it's funny when I write about it now, but I was soooo sad when it happened cause my brand new shoes were now ruined! Gah!

I was pretty lucky, in the sense that the 'hole' was at the front because I could easily cover them up!

I've seen many DIY capped toe shoes tutorials around using acrylic paint, but I'm not familiar with acrylic paint at all. There were so many factors I was worried about such as 'Will the paint run when wet?', 'Will the paint be able to give the blemished part a smooth finish?', 'Will the paint crack?'

After much contemplating, I decided to go with black nail polish because I'm more familiar with them!

I have a peace of mind that the polish won't run when wet and I can layer the polish till I get a smooth finish.

I used tape to get a straight line, black marker pen to cover the white hole and some good pigmented nail polish to get the job done! 

I used half the bottle with total of 10+ layers to make sure the hole gets covered in a smooth layer.

However, if your shoes are blemish free, 3 layers is plenty to give a gorgeous finish.

I left them to dry overnight and TAH-DAH! New shoes!

The dent is now barely visible but you could see some slight rippling. Unless someone has their head on the floor, it's all good. =D

I'm so glad I didn't have to throw my boots out! 

If you're planning on doing trying this DIY out, I highly recommend nail polish for a gorgeous shine!

Much prettier and easier than using acrylic, IMO!

What better way to celebrate the end of exams with 'new' shoes. XD

DIY iPhone Cover

Hi hi!!

Just a quick iPhone cover DIY to share with you!

The bf has been searching for the perfect iPhone cover for the longest time ever, so I decided to make one for him!

I used a plain red piece of felt, transparent iPhone cover and a pen! I traced around the iPhone and cut along it!

That's all!

It's so simple and you could make heaps and changed your cover everyday! =D

Simple and quick!

I'm thinking of buying more cute fabric and embossed paper to create more interchangeable covers!

White Christmas

To tell you the truth, I never had a Christmas tree that can remember. I vaguely remember a small Christmas tree in my house back when I was in kindergarden, and that's it.

I always always asked my mom for a Christmas tree but we never got to buying one cause the ornaments were so expensive in Malaysia.

This year's the first year I'm spending Christmas in Australia and I finally bought a Christmas tree!

I mean, who could pass up a cute little tree for just $10!

Unfortunately, I don't have the Christmas tree up yet *ahemloserahem* but I really wanna share pictures of white Christmas trees I googled for which I'm currently loving!

Not white, but SO cute! ^.^

Pretty white Christmas trees aside, I'm sure you guys have gone through the 'attack of the glitter ornaments'.

I myself am a fan of glitter, but having all ten fingers covered in glitter unintentionally, is not fun.

I bought these really pretty ornaments a while back and their 'sheddings' were driving me nuts.

So to fix le shedding, I used hair spray and sprayed the **** outta them!

It didn't affect the reflection of the glitters, but it did help stop the glitter from shedding!

Ah I love the pretty black glitter!

I hope this simple idea will help you with your glitter problems!

Picture Frame Deco

Hey pink girlies!

I bought this super cute picture frame from Typo the other day cause I loved the pink!!

I thought it was a super cute in-your-face neon pink!

That's my bf and I many many years ago. I love this picture even though I think I look rather awkward. Hehe...

But but but but... I thought the picture frame looked rather plain so I decided to give it a bit more flair.

I waved a silver pen over the picture frame and...

PRESTO!!

A chic pink picture frame is born!

I really love the silver and pink details and it literally took me like 15 minutes.

I love how a little bit of effort can make something different and unique.

I'm planning to add more bling to the picture frame but I refrained because I don't wanna mess up the chic minimalistic look of the picture frame.

So remember guys, a little effort can go a long way!

I'm really in to the whole 'damask' feel of things right now and I hope I can incorporate a more damask feel to my room! I'm actually slowly slowly sewing myself a pink satin and damask pillow case for myself which is taking forever cause I'm an annoying perfectionist (my perfectionism is annoying myself) and hand sewing is not an easy task.

I can't wait to finish it to show you guys the outcome!!
