Halloween's in a week! Yay!!
I don't know why I'm so psyched for Halloween. I guess I'm really enjoying all the unconventional creative beauty looks and tutorials around.
University finals are in exactly a week (GAH!!) and I don't think I could really spare the time for a full blown Halloween look. However, in the spirit of Halloween, I decided to paint my nails in a very Halloween-isque colour!
Essie Wicked is a gorgeous wine red which can sometimes look red, brown or black under different lighting.
I used 2 layers to achieve complete opacity. One layer gives me a dark red wine colour but a second layer brings the polish a different dimension, where to brain can't pinpoint if it's red ro brown.
I'm so glad I won this nail polish from Tezza's giveaway cause I seem to be falling in love with dark polishes! I doubt I would have picked out this polish among the sea of colours!
It's spring and I'm addicted to dark polish? Whut? Lol!
Are you sporting any special nail colour or design in the spirit of Halloween?
Cheers!!

Oooh, so nice! :O Might just have to go get this now... Brilliant photos, too! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a very Halloween-ish colour :) I wish I had more Essie polishes...I love how true to the bottle colour they are on the nails.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great Halloween nail colour indeed. I love the depth of the colour of this polish.

Love, love, love this color! It definitely lives up to the name of "wicked"! :'D
ReplyDeleteoooH~ I super agree that it is super perfect for halloween ^_~
ReplyDeleteI loveeee dark nail polish!! That's a gorgeous shade!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Essie polishes! I'm so glad that they have slowly became available in Melbourne- for decent prices too!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a perfect colour for Halloween! Even the name 'wicked' suits the holiday!Good luck for your uni exams btw! :)
Aww thank you! It's a very pretty colour for fall and I think it'll be a nice challenge to try to franken this brown-red colour! =D
ReplyDeleteThis is actually my first and only full sized Essie polish! I have a couple small holiday sets which I really like! =D Now that you've mentioned it, Essie polishes are really true to their bottle unlike some of my OPIs! I'll have to follow up with this observation tho!
ReplyDeleteThank you my dear! ^.^
ReplyDeleteYeah! When I first applied it, I thought I was applying a red polish but I really liked how it turned out in the end! =D
ReplyDeleteLol yup yup!! It totally suits the Halloween theme! Maybe that was what the creators intended! XD
ReplyDeleteHehe yup! I came up with another Halloween nail idea with this polish which I'll be posting today or tmr! Loving this polish! XD
ReplyDeleteDark nail polishes are the bomb! But I'm pretty worried it may stain the nails much more easily (it happened to me once with a dark blue polish, but there could be other factors involved, eg. brand) but I still love them! =)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I'm starting to panic right about now. XP Yeah there aren't as many colour choices as OPI but there's still a decent fun amount available at Hair Warehouse etc. Have a WICKED Halloween! ^.~
ReplyDeleteThat is such a gorgeous Blood Red colour - great for halloween :)

Such a gorgeous vampy red!! Definitely a great colour for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteYup!! And the name suits the holiday perfectly as well! =D
ReplyDeletePuuuuuuurfection! =D Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI found it really easy to apply! The first layer applied streaky but the second layer covered them up perfectly! I find this polish a lil more watery than other polishes too! Don't know if it's just my polish acting 'weird', but I really like the runny formula!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I really like the dimension of the colour! =D
ReplyDeleteoooh love this color, so appropriate too :) x
