Prim and Proper Bling Nails

My nails of the week!

This week, I felt like going for something prim and proper and decided to go for a beautiful peach tone with silver accents.

What better nail polish colour to select for my prim and proper week than the Butter London in Pink Ribbon!

This beautiful Butter London gem came free with InStyle magazine and I couldn't pass up on a freebie, ESPECIALLY Butter London!

The name Pink Ribbon really puts a smile on my face. Since we're celebrating Breast Cancer Month, having Pink Ribbon on our nail's are a great way to celebrate! However, this polish is more of a nude peach colour rather than, as the name suggests, pink.

The polish is rather sheer, but after a good 2-3 layers, I achieved the beautiful opacity below. The polish is very slightly streaky but apply them with patience and care and you'll have perfect nude nails!

Of course, I had to do something fancy schmancy with my nails so I added some bling to the base of my nails!

As usual, I used my trusty tape method! =D

Would you like some bling with your nails?

Cheers!!

  11. Aww thanks! Yes get creative with your nails!! I love fun nail art! Yup yup I used the Seche Vite top coat and they are THE BOMB! Seriously! My OPI one causes streaks (I have no idea why! It boggles the mind!) but this Seche Vite one doesn't cause streaks and dries super fast! I highly recommend it!

  19. The colour is nice on the nails even though it's a little sheer. I really like the little nail art tutorial too! Will definitely try doing it in the future when I am not feeling lazy :D

Did you manage to find the Tokidoki Brushes on ebay? The price might be jacked up though. Reading blogs is such a bad activity for the bank account isn't it? I always end up with a long wish list after browsing through blogs/ youtube videos.

  20. Gah, this is too pretty! :) I wish I had the patience to do this. I can barely even get the hang of painting my nails itself.

  22. I've wanted to try butter london polishes for a while now but was never able to bite the bullet on that price tag! I'm so glad to hear they're good and that this specific colour goes opaque in 3 coats, personally I love layering on my polishes. It's like a habit, once I start painting I just keep going ><

  23. Haha I actually find painting my nails therapeutic! I find the price tag way too steep as well. I find that all nail polishes are good as long as you use a good top coat and base coat. I'd say, if you'd rather splurge on other stuff aside from nail polish, you could give Butter London a skip cause Sally Hansen and Revlon does a good enough job already! =D Hope that helped!
