I'm back and I'm on YouTube!

Hello dears. I'm back!

I do hope you remember me. It's been at least half a year since I said hi to any of you and I really missed you guys!

Before I get ranting and stuff, I'd like to say that I'll be back to the virtual world on YouTube! I've taken great interest on producing videos and I'd really like to share my very first beauty YouTube video with you. I also have a couple lifestyle vlogs, which you can check out here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNL8pHooG9RJSautVp0WCLLhX136FHmel.

New Years Nails need Glitter!

Hello my beloveds!!

Happy 2014!

Now that it's 2014, I would like to officially declare WE SURVIVED 2013!

Yes. Yes we did.

New Years celebration was pretty mellow for me, but it was good meeting a bunch of people, new and old.

How was yours?

New years is all about glitter and gold to me. The champagne, the fireworks, the glitz and glam all scream gold to me. I don't own a gold dress (that would be awesome tho), but what better way to add some sparkle into the new years with gold glitter nails!

If you remembered my Christmas Nails, I was far too lazy to repaint my nails. It didn't make logical sense to me to repaint my nails after only 3 days anyway. The lazy practical side of me just slapped on some gold glitter polish from the Maybelline Color Show Sequins in Gold's Night Out in 5 mins and voila!

Fab New Years Nails!

Merry Christmas my loves!

Hello darlings!

First of all, Merry Christmas!

I hope you've managed to get all your shopping done. Now it's time to kick back, relax and start gearing up for Boxing Day Sales!! XD

It's been a while since I've been boxing day shopping in Melbourne and I do miss is heaps. Boxing day sales isn't much of a trend here in Kuala Lumpur, but it doesn't stop us from going crazy with online sales!

2NE1 Do You Love Me - Park Bom Inspired Nails

Hello dear friends!

After a stressful exam/assignment period, I'm finally free!! (well, for now.)

*runs around in circles to celebrate freedom*

This uni semester was the most stressful semester I have ever been through in my many years of uni life. It was so much pure madness that I've completely forgot how to blog. I kid you not.

The night after completing my exam, I stared at my laptop thinking to myself:

'What did I used to do?"

I had no idea what to do!

Needless to say, 'rediscovering' YouTube and blogging was pure fun.

So, to welcome myself back into the virtual world, here are some simple nails inspired by 2NE1's Park Bom's nails from Do You Love Me!

2NE1 CL Inspired Nude Nails with Swarovski Crystals

Hey nail junkies!

The weather was particularly gloomy recently and my fingers naturally reached for my neutral polishes. I've gotta say Allure by Ulta3 is one of my favourite polish shades, the prefect nude shade for my skin tone, not too brown, not too peachy. It was instant love when I first applied them and for only $2, everyone needs to get one!

It's been a while since my nails have been one plain colour and a had to add a lil sumthin' sumthin' to jazz up my nails.

Then I remembered a picture of CL and her sister's nails I've seen online and I have a pack of brand new Swarvoski crystals from bornprettystore.com.

Behold, the prefect classy nails!

2NE1 Falling In Love - Park Bom Inspired Nails

Hello! *waves*

Following up from my full Park Bom look, here's a close up of my 2NE1 Falling In Love - Park Bom Inspired Nails!

When I first saw her nails, I knew I simple had to give it a go! White, silver and glitter? Sign me up!

The nails were relatively easy to achieve. Paint your nails with a white or silver base (whichever rhythm you fancy), use tape to achieve the sharp triangles, add the glitter or rhinestones and you're done!

Purple Glitterati Nails

Hey girls!

Uugh Melbourne weather's getting dull and gloomy and I decided to cheer myself up with a fun happy manicure!

Seriously rain + cold is such a horrible combination. I always wear jeans when it's cold, but when it rains, my jeans gets wet and it gets even colder. I'll reach home freezing and no any different from wearing tights.

But anywayyyy... what better way to happy nails than pastel purple glitter nails! =D

I used (L-R):
OPI Teenage Dream - Revlon 610 LilyOPI Gone Gonzo!

Both glitter nail polishes layered beautifully into a purple shade and blended really well with the pastel purple.

Seriously I'm so in love with the purple that I'm gonna paint my toe nails with the exact same shade. Yay!!

Oh the down side, I'm soooo not looking forward to the removing process. Considering that I have a rather thick layer of glitter polish, this is gonna take foreverrrrr...

Well I hope you enjoyed these nails!

To everyone in Australia and NZ, stay warm!

And to everyone else enjoying spring, darn you. Lol kidding.

Cheers my!!

12 Days of Christmas Fun: Day 2 Snow Inspired Nails

Welcome to Day 2 of our 12 Days of Christmas Fun, featuring Snow Inspired Nails using only 2 colours.

I have always associated snow with the colour blue, silver and white. I remember my first time seeing snow in Korea during Christmas, I was absolutely blown away by how gorgeous and serene the white contrasted with the clear blue sky. The white was so pure that it reflected light, almost silver like.

Hence, today's Snow Inspired Gradient Nails.

I used OPI's No Room for the Blues, a creme polish which I would describe as the sky on a perfect beach day and also Revlon's Fast Dry in 860 Metallic.

1. Paint on your blue base.
2. Dab some silver polish on a makeup sponge.
3. Gently pat on your nails to achieve your desired gradient. Be warned, it is very addictive and fun!

And voilà! Easy glamorous nails for Christmas!

... because red and green nails were so last year.

Thanks for joining us for Day 2 of 12 Days of Christmas Fun!

2 days down, 10 more days of awesomeness to go!

Please keep a look out on my girls Catherine, Karla and Sue for updates!

Cheers!!

Christian Louboutin Inspired Nails

Yeap, you read right!

When I saw the Christian Louboutin inspired nails circulating the internet, I knew I had to give it a go!

It was so easy to achieve and it gives your nails a lil extra sumthin' sumthin' to love.

Seriously I'm obsessed over my nails right now because of how classy and unique they look! I keep staring at my nails and even after 5 days, I'm still loving them!

I also loved the reactions from people when they noticed the underside of my nails were red.

I loved Rin (Hello dear!) from makeupdownunder.com's reaction when I showed her my nails. She literally stared at my nails for 5 seconds and went 'What??'

She wasn't the first person who went 'What???', but her reaction was the cutest by far!

The steps are dead easy and no special skills are required! Just a steady and patient pair of hands will do!

I hope you enjoyed this super easy nail tutorial and find the inspiration to do something special with your nails!

Rock on and cheers!!

Decaying Blood Nails - Salt Nail Art

Hello Halloween!!

I'm gonna show you a super quick but attention grabbing nail art for Halloween! It sure scared the heck outta my family when they saw my nails. XD

Remember this salt nail art I did a while back?

It was so eerie that I simply had to try it again for Halloween!!

I used Essie Wicked which many thought was a very suitable name and colour for Halloween. =D

1. I first applied 2 layers of polish to achieve an opaque background.

2. I then applied a third layer of polish, and while still wet, I sprinkled slat over the nails. Gently pat down the salt and let dry.

3. Once dried, I brushed off the excess salt and painted over the salt with the nail polish.

4. I also dabbed on some black polish randomly to give the nails extra dimension.

The final product is some totally yucky-interesting-looking-eerie-zombie-decaying nails! It was super simple to do and only took me 15 minutes to achieve.

The messier the paint job, the better. Your non-dominant hands will thank you for this. ^.~

And there you go!

Some fab zombie nails cause I think zombies deserve to get manicures as well.

And please don't lick your nails! I doubt it would be pleasant! XD

How are you celebrating Halloween?

Cheers my zombie babes!!

Essie Wicked - Perfect for Halloween

Halloween's in a week! Yay!!

I don't know why I'm so psyched for Halloween. I guess I'm really enjoying all the unconventional creative beauty looks and tutorials around.

University finals are in exactly a week (GAH!!) and I don't think I could really spare the time for a full blown Halloween look. However, in the spirit of Halloween, I decided to paint my nails in a very Halloween-isque colour!

Essie Wicked is a gorgeous wine red which can sometimes look red, brown or black under different lighting.

I used 2 layers to achieve complete opacity. One layer gives me a dark red wine colour but a second layer brings the polish a different dimension, where to brain can't pinpoint if it's red ro brown.

I'm so glad I won this nail polish from Tezza's giveaway cause I seem to be falling in love with dark polishes! I doubt I would have picked out this polish among the sea of colours!

It's spring and I'm addicted to dark polish? Whut? Lol!

Are you sporting any special nail colour or design in the spirit of Halloween?

Cheers!!

Prim and Proper Bling Nails

My nails of the week!

This week, I felt like going for something prim and proper and decided to go for a beautiful peach tone with silver accents.

What better nail polish colour to select for my prim and proper week than the Butter London in Pink Ribbon!

This beautiful Butter London gem came free with InStyle magazine and I couldn't pass up on a freebie, ESPECIALLY Butter London!

The name Pink Ribbon really puts a smile on my face. Since we're celebrating Breast Cancer Month, having Pink Ribbon on our nail's are a great way to celebrate! However, this polish is more of a nude peach colour rather than, as the name suggests, pink.

The polish is rather sheer, but after a good 2-3 layers, I achieved the beautiful opacity below. The polish is very slightly streaky but apply them with patience and care and you'll have perfect nude nails!

Of course, I had to do something fancy schmancy with my nails so I added some bling to the base of my nails!

As usual, I used my trusty tape method! =D

Would you like some bling with your nails?

Cheers!!

Starry Night Nails

Have you ever bought nail polish that looked gorgeous in the bottle but looks totally different when applied to your nails?

This Russian Navy annoys me whenever I look at it. Lol.

While rummaging tru a box filled with discounted OPIs, it saw this extremely beautiful mystical purple  nail polish which I loved! Without looking at it's name, I immediately grabbed and paid for the nail polish.

Mana tau (Malaysian slang for 'who knew'. Lol.) the nail polish was some kinda weird navy blue which I didn't like one bit. The gorgeous red and purple micro shimmer did not show up one bit!

Boy, was I annoyed!

Here's a picture of a thin layer of polish swatched on a piece of paper and held against the sun.

The poor polish laid unused for a year till I decided to use it and give it a twist to suit my liking.

I layered my polish.

Ever tried that?

I painted a layer of MAC Nocturnelle, which is basically a cream black, as the base and applied a thin layer of OPI Russian Navy on top.

It turned out to be a really pretty nail colour which appeared black, navy blue and purple under different lights! I was really happy with it! =D

I also applied Ulta3's Silver Glitter for gradient tips, just to add some pizzaz. Hehe.

Have you ever purchased a nail polish which you didn't like at all?

Cheers!!
